| Your Situation
1. You are about to begin an
improvement effort. It may be around increasing the capacity of the
congregation for the incorporation of new members or starting a strategic
vision process or looking at ways to make better use of your physical
space. You are generally confident about the ability of the congregation's
leaders for managing the effort. But you would like to have a professional
consultant walk through the plan with the leaders and check in during the
process.
OR
2. As a congregational leader you
see the need for a one-to-one consultation around your leadership role.
There may be an especially difficult issue facing the congregation or you
simply se it as a way to stretch yourself.
OR
3. You are a consultant working with
a congregation. You would like to have a "shadow" consultant
with whom you could explore your role and test out possible interventions.
Consultation By E-Mail and Phone
Work with ODCT
to create an e-mail and/or phone consultation process. This is a relatively
low cost method of accessing professional consultation services. Here's how you can
arrange it.
1. Send an
e-mail message
indicating your desire for such a consultation. Include the following
information:
| |
a. Your name, e-mail address
and phone number |
|
b. The name and address of
your congregation |
|
c. What kind of consulting
assistance do you want? |
2. ODCT
will respond with an agreement for the consultation (if we do not think we
can help or if we think that the work requires on-site consultation, we
will tell you; we will suggest other resources we may be aware of). The
response will include information on estimated costs.
3. The consultation continues with exchanges
of e-mail or phone conversations.
