Congregational Development      People

 

    

       Robert A. Gallagher has been a consultant and trainer in religious systems, non-profit organizations and small businesses since 1970. Bob has been a parish priest; on the staff of or consultant to ecumenical training organizations, an industrial mission and  metropolitan and state councils of churches. He served as the congregational development officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut from 1981 - 88. He has consulted with hundreds of congregations. Bob has an MA in Organization Development from Goddard College. He has served as adjunct faculty in congregational development at Hartford Seminary and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. He was Director of the Church Development Institute at the General Theological Seminary from 1985 - 2000 and continues as the Director of the Church Development Institute - Seattle. Bob is  a senior trainer with Leadership Training Institute.

  Susan Adam is a professional artist having been trained in fine arts at Colorado College, San Francisco Art Institute and the Massachusetts College of Art. Susan is part of the congregational development consultant network in the Diocese of Maine. Her training in congregational development and organization development has been with the Leadership Training Institute and the Church Development Institute.  Susan is a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Castine, Maine.

Michelle Heyne       Michelle Heyne is the chief compliance officer for a Seattle based company and has extensive experience with financial management, interpersonal communications and team dynamics, and developing and implementing organizational change initiatives. She has past non-profit experience in the areas of team building, strategic planning, and conflict management. Michelle recently worked with CDI in designing and implementing a two day training program on the dynamics of risk and safety faced by organizational leaders. She is a member of Trinity Parish, Seattle.
