Developmental Spiritual Life Programs
|
| These programs are offered to address two needs:
1. The spiritual development of individual members of the parish 2. The maturing of the parish in its corporate spirituality The programs address both needs at the same time. Each program includes: --advance & follow up consultation by e-mail and phone --conducting the event itself (usual from Friday 4:00 p.m. to Sunday for two hours after the primary parish Eucharist) --a program design and handouts that can be used by the parish in conducting the program in the future. Cost: Fee of $4000 plus expenses (travel, room, meals, materials, etc.)

| Anglican Spirituality - A course that engages participants in a practical exploration of their own spiritual life in relation to the Anglican tradition. The course includes units on the central pattern of Anglican prayer life, the Eucharist, Daily Office and Personal Devotions; the ethos of the Episcopal Church's spirituality is explored; participants engage in experimentation of various approaches to prayer. |

| Ministry of the Baptized - The course involves participants in a process of looking at their current approach to opening up to their own renewal in the Christian Life; and of how they approach their ministry as baptized people. Includes work related to one's own Rule of Life, the relationship between faith and daily life, issues about balance and harmony in life, etc. |

| Eucharistic Spirituality - Stays with a very practical approach -- practices and methods for members to enter more fully into the Eucharist, e.g., engaging the Word, use of the body in worship, what we bring into the Eucharist, etc. |

| Praying with the Scriptures - Experimenting with several methods for using the Bible in prayer. Includes individual and group methods; use of images; relationship to the corporate prayer of the church. |

| Retreats |
| Retreats are intended to enhance the
spiritual life of individuals and the parish as a community. The style
may be more or less formal; with more or less silence included. Retreats
may be for one or more parishes; are always to be residential; and run
from Friday around 5:00 p.m. through Sunday around noon. All retreats
include some use of silence, the Daily Office and a Eucharist on
Saturday and Sunday. Below are the available retreat themes.
